On October 15th, the 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) kicked off in Guangzhou. Thirty-five enterprises from Nanxun participated in the fair with 61 booths, representing an increase of 3 enterprises and 5 booths compared to the previous session. On the first day of the fair, this "Nanxun - branded" team from the water towns in the Yangtze River Delta once again attracted the attention of global merchants with its strong "intelligent manufacturing" capabilities.
In front of the booth of Huzhou Yueqiu Motor Co., Ltd., Yang Hui, the company's foreign trade sales supervisor, was carefully promoting products to Middle Eastern buyers who came for consultation: "This mini DD motor is highly efficient, energy - saving, and durable. It is specially designed for mini washing machines used to clean baby clothes and intimate apparel." As a "veteran participant" of the Canton Fair for 13 consecutive years, the company brought more than 50 iterative products this time, among which many were new products making their debut at the Canton Fair.
From being inexperienced at the first participation to now frequently securing large international orders, Yueqiu Motor has truly reaped the "order dividends" from the Canton Fair. "Only half a day after the fair started, we have already received intended orders worth 100,000 US dollars. Relying on the Canton Fair platform, our products have been sold to more than 30 countries and regions, and the total foreign trade sales volume has been increasing year by year," Yang Hui said. He added that on the "barometer" of the Canton Fair, the company has not only gained orders but also a clearer direction for innovation.
BET China which made its first appearance at the Canton Fair, won over on - site merchants at one stroke with its "black technology" products. The new air - source water generator at its booth became the focus. Jason Peng, the chairman of the company, demonstrated the water - making process while explaining to the merchants: "This new product integrates the Internet of Things (IoT) technology and upgrades the core water - making system. Even in low - humidity and low - temperature environments, it can produce water in multiple modes, including ice, hot, and room temperature." As soon as he finished speaking, he handed the freshly made water to the merchants for tasting. On the first day of the fair, the company signed an intended order worth 120,000 US dollars with Middle Eastern merchants. "The Canton Fair has built a bridge for us to connect with the global market. Next, we plan to focus on expanding into the markets of countries along the 'Belt and Road' and seek new growth points," Jason Peng said with full confidence.
It is reported that the scale of this Canton Fair has reached a new high, with a total of 55 exhibition areas and more than 70,000 booths. It is divided into three phases, covering the entire industrial chain. Among them, the first phase (October 15th - 19th) focuses on products such as home appliances, machinery, and new energy; the second phase (October 23rd - 27th) features categories including daily necessities, gifts, furniture, and building materials; the third phase (October 31st - November 4th) focuses on displaying products related to "a better life" such as textiles and clothing, food, and pharmaceuticals.
"We will firmly grasp the opportunity of the Canton Fair gathering merchants from all over the world, launch a 'combination of services', help participating enterprises convert on - site 'traffic' into order 'retention', and fully support enterprises in exploring the international market," said a relevant person in charge of the District Bureau of Commerce.
