In the injection molding workshop of BET Technology (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd. in Nanxun Economic Development Zone, mechanical arms rhythmically move to rush an order worth 30 million yuan destined for Hong Kong, China. Beside the production line, merchants from the Middle East are inspecting the company's manufacturing capabilities, ready to sign the first order. "We've received nine batches of clients recently—orders are now driving production," said Peng Cong, the enterprise head. The company achieved a national output value of 37 million yuan in the first quarter, and with the peak sales season yet to come, this year's output value is expected to exceed 230 million yuan.
Behind the continuous orders lies a disruptive technology: mobile air water generators developed by BET Technology, which convert gaseous water in the air into drinkable liquid water via electricity. "Technology innovation must solve real problems," Peng Cong noted. Air water generation capacity depends on ambient humidity—the higher the humidity, the stronger the water production. In the environmental laboratory of BET's testing center, R&D personnel are simulating water production efficiency in an environment with humidity as low as 20% and temperature as low as 5℃. A new model, a result of collaboration with a PhD research team from Tsinghua University, uses adsorptive new materials to desorb water vapor, improving air humidity and temperature for stable water production, currently in small-batch trial production.
Founded in April last year as a joint venture between Israel's BIE Group and Nanpo Bay (Shanghai) Electric Co., Ltd., BET Technology has leveraged its self-developed core air water generation technology to provide all-weather, pollution-free sustainable water solutions for industrial manufacturing, ecological agriculture, island development, and household use. In just over a year, the company has advanced from the concept of "air-to-water" to holding 23 patents (7 invention patents), including breakthroughs like the world's first air water generator with ice-making functionality. "Ten years ago, we planted a seed based on cutting-edge technology and industry trends, and now it's bearing innovative fruits," Peng Cong said.
BET Technology is now integrating air water generation with big data. "Through an AI-powered big data platform, we can monitor the operation status of air water generators in real time, enabling remote, intelligent maintenance management to ensure continuous drinking water supply and smart upgrades," Peng explained. This move highlights the company's ambition to lead in "hardware + software + service" integrated solutions, as it aims to become a global benchmark in sustainable water technology from its Nanxun base.
